04693 Superstition Mountains

At the eastern end of the Valley of the Sun rise the Superstition Mountains. Head into the mountains at Lost Dutchman State Park, climb out of the park and into the Superstition Wilderness, head straight up the canyon after the trail ends, and you'll find yourself on the way up towards the summit and this large flatiron which dominates the landscape. If you make it to the top, you should feel proud of yourself. As one friend said: it's a bear of a climb, but the view is incredible.
