| On this trip, we found a group of whales in what turned
out to be a feeding frenzy. Cooperating with each other they were rounding up fish by creating
bubble nets beneath them (exhaling in unison below schools of fish and trapping them with the
bubbles), lobtailing the schools of fish to stun them further, then coming up with their mouths
open or lunging through the school getting a mouthful. This whale did its part so another
could feed. |
